Irbid - Umm Qais
Share
Through an introduction to ancient Romanian art and a guided lesson located at Umm Qais' archaeological site, you'll learn to create and design your own piece of stone. Stone masons have been using this ancient Roman craft for centuries to create various artworks. Finding societies that still employ Roman tools in stone masonry is rare, and it demands a high level of accuracy and skill.
Participants will select their own piece of stone and, under Sultan's guidance, learn the techniques to transform raw material into art. Every aspect of the stone masonry process, from basic shaping and carving to advanced detailing and polishing, will be covered.
This stone masonry experience will deepen your understanding of this exquisite art style and allow you to apply your knowledge practically to your own piece of stone.
