Disi Women Cooperative

The Disi Women's Cooperative was established in 2010 with the goal of enhancing the lives of women in Al-Deisah by empowering them, particularly in economic aspects. With over 300 members, the association runs various programs and projects aimed at achieving this mission. One such initiative is the Badwiat program, which features pottery and ceramic workshops, sewing and tailoring workshops, and a greenhouse dedicated to growing trees, including the iconic Ghada tree symbolizing the Wadi Rum Reserve. Visitors are encouraged to participate in all activities, from planting trees to personalizing ceramic pieces with their names and dates. The association's mission is to provide visitors with an authentic cultural experience crafted by the women of Disi while creating employment opportunities for local women.
