Sara Badna, the visionary behind Bayt Sara, a vegan cuisine and eco-conscious living in the heart of Jordan, began on a transformative journey eight years ago. Following her family from Italy and Romania to Jordan, Sara was struck by the absence of vegan dining options in her new home. Driven by her passion for veganism and a desire to fill this void, Sara took a leap of faith and poured her savings into establishing Bayt Sara. In addition to her culinary endeavors, Sara also dedicates herself to rescuing and caring for stray cats, eventually amassing a sanctuary of 160 vaccinated and sterilized cats. She further contributes to her community by organizing the Amman Vegan Festival annually, empowering 500 refugee women by providing a platform to sell their handmade goods, with profits from the restaurant going towards supporting vulnerable families and animals.
