Tamam Jadallah, a mother of 3, began her project as a means of supporting her family and providing a secure income. She founded the Durzi tourist experience in 2009, as the first home to offer Durzi food. Her dream is to grow her project enough to employ a full female staff from her local community. Through her project, Tamam offers a unique culinary experience in her Durzi kitchen, where visitors can learn about traditional Durzi culinary techniques, take part in hands-on cooking sessions and use delicious, locally-sourced ingredients. She is committed to promoting the traditional culture and cuisine of her community, and providing job opportunities for women.
